Hempy Acres Camp

You have reached the information page for camping at Hempy Acres during the Phish concerts at Alpine Valley Music Theater on August 14-15, 2010.

Hempy Acres Camp is a safe and hassle-free camping environment located roughly 20 miles southeast of Alpine Valley. The camp enjoys the privacy of a rural setting as well as quick access to Interstate 94 and a variety of gas, food, and liquor retailers.

Miracle?

Phish will be returning to the stage for a two-night run at Alpine Valley this summer! To welcome back the boys in style, we are working on another great package of camping and safe transportation to and from the show. To stay at the camp, reservations are required. If you have questions, send an email to hempyacres@kindonline.com.

Camping spots are on grass with shaded areas available and there is one fire pit on the property which will have a bonfire each night.  Contributions of firewood are always appreciated.  Campers will have access to clean portable toilets, water for drinking or cooking, warm showers and limited electric hookups for things like charging cell phones or airing up mattresses.  There will be a grill available for use at various times.

An individual donation per person will be collected to help cover the cost of toilets, security, cleanup and recycling. This year we had to rent the land for the camp and the parking lots so this charge is higher than previous years. There is also an option to pay extra for a seat on the shuttles. The shuttles will be run by a professional, chartered bus service to provide campers with safe, hassle-free transportation to and from the show. Preference will be given to those campers who will be taking the shuttle because it is easier on the parking situation. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis and capacity is limited. Sorry, NO pets, or fireworks are allowed. There will be a few spaces available for RV parking but there will not be electric or water hookups for them.

Camping Donations:

$50 per person will cover ALL of your camping anytime between Noon on August 13 until Noon on August 16.

$25 per person will cover camping anytime between Noon on August 15 until Noon on August 16. (Sunday only)

We will consider a discount for large groups....please email for info.

Safe Shuttle Transportation:

1 round trip ticket to and from Alpine Valley - $20

2 round trip tickets to and from Alpine Valley - $40

This price may go down if the shuttles are full.

By state law, there is NO SMOKING on a school bus. The trip to Alpine Valley can take up to 45 minutes on a concert day. I would plan for even more with Phish in town. The shuttle will get you there safe and with time to hang out a bit before the show. Also soft sided coolers are essential because state law requires that hard coolers that will slide around be secured to a seat which can take away room for passengers. Soft items that can be restrained by the rider on the lap or under the seat on the floor are okay.

The bus will arrive at camp at 3:30pm and leave no later than 4pm to arrive in the lots by 5pm.
The bus WILL stay at the lot for the duration of the show.
The bus will leave Alpine Valley at midnight to return to camp by 1am.

Seats are guaranteed and will NOT be refunded if you fail to make it to camp by 4pm.

(Be sure to leave Deer Creek with plenty of time to compensate for Chicago construction.)

By submitting a reservation, you agree to these terms.

Please DO NOT post links to this camp on public message boards. This is a private camp wth limited capacity.
